About PFG
Experienced Financial Guidance
from People You Can Trust
Since 1997, PFG has been dedicated to removing the stress from retirement planning and transforming financial fears into confidence. We believe in keeping things simple and explaining complex issues in a way that’s easy to understand and act upon. Our advice is grounded in empathy and experience, ensuring that every recommendation is one we’d choose for ourselves in your situation.
While we may be financial nerds with years of experience in this industry, we also try really hard to be cool kids. (No really, this is us trying really hard to be cool.) We want you to feel comfortable sitting down and talking to us about not just your finances, but your family, your job, your vacation plans, and your life. We figure that if you actually look forward to meeting with us, we’ll have more open, honest, and candid communication—and that always leads to better results.

Our goal is to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to take charge of your finances and build the future you deserve.

Peter Kizis
Investment Advisor
I’ve been in the financial industry for more than five decades. Usually by that point in someone’s career, they’re ready to retire—but I’m more interested in helping other people reach their own retirement goals. I love what I do, and even more, love seeing my clients reap the rewards of my advice. I get to make a living by helping other people make a living, and I really can’t think of any better job than that.
I was raised by a single mom in a time when that wasn’t a common story for kids, and it gave me a more empathetic perspective into other people’s struggles. I attended King’s College and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. I then served in the U.S. military before I started my financial career.
I live in Bear Creek, which is ten minutes outside of Wilkes-Barre, PA. My wife, Nadine, and I have four children—Sarah, Peter, Shawn, and Erin—and are the proud grandparents of three amazing girls: Faye, Darcy, and Iris. My family is my pride and joy.
I love to travel and read, especially on historical topics. I’m a big history junkie, especially Civil War era. I was on the YMCA board for 35 years and I’m still active with my local Rotary Club. Serving people is at the heart of what I do in my work. It was only natural to me to serve them outside of work as well.

When I went to King’s College, my major was Business Administration. But it didn’t take me long to figure out that my favorite part of my studies was the financial side. So, after graduating with my Bachelor’s degree, I went straight into the financial industry. Twenty-four years later, and I’ve never regretted it.
But as much as I understand the numbers side, working with people is what I’m really passionate about. I love being able to stick my head into their bubbles—in a totally respectful and nonintrusive way, of course!—and find ways to make their lives a little bit better. I’m especially passionate about working with other women, and empowering them to be a major contributor to their family’s financial plans, whether they’re single, married, divorced, or widowed. As a mom, I know how hard it can be to balance the demands on your time and attention, and I want to make it easier for moms like me to be involved in their kids’ lives, rather than spending time stressing about finances.
I was born and raised here in Northeast Pennsylvania, as was my husband, Curt. In fact, we bought his grandparents' house, and we now have three beautiful girls: Rachel, Caitlyn, and Paige. We also have two American Akitas—Jinx and Dutch—and a fluffy little bunny to make our family complete. I love being active, spending time with family and friends, and sitting down with a good book at the end of a busy day.

Administrative Coordinator
With over 24 years of administrative experience across the nonprofit and private sectors, I ensure our office runs efficiently and our clients feel genuinely welcomed. In my role as Administrative Coordinator, I provide essential day-to-day support to our advisors and help maintain the smooth operation of both client-facing and internal processes. Organization, adaptability, and attention to detail are at the heart of everything I do.
Originally from Wyoming, PA, I spent 14 years in Washington, D.C., before returning to Luzerne County in 2012. Outside of work, you’ll often find me enjoying the outdoors, practicing yoga, sewing, or getting lost in a good book.
